MITCO offers 2 types of professional IT services:

• Consultancy missions.
• Development of personalized solutions.

In both cases, the services offered are adapted to the client's needs using state of the art technology.

Detailed personalized solutions

MITCO offers to create professional solutions, especially developed to meet the client's needs. In that case, MITCO manages and carries out all phases of the project development.

1. Needs definition: MITCO sets up the necessary meetings with the client and from those meetings draws up an inventory of the client's needs. Depending on their importance, there can be various meetings in order to end up with an exhaustive and detailed list of the client's needs and wishes.
2. Specifications: MITCO writes the specifications based on the needs inventory. They contain the complete description of the objectives the future application must reach. Those specifications must be approved by the client. They will then be used as a work and control basis in order to ensure that the proposed solution meets all the needs identified during the first stage.
3. Planning: A planning can be set up once the specifications have been approved by both parties. It will state the delivery dates of the various documents and deliverables linked to the project, as well as all the important stages. This plan must also be approved by the client, and will be used as waybill all through the project development.
4. Functional analysis: MITCO carries out a detailed functional analysis based on the specifications. It describes in detail all the functionalities of the future application and contains all the management, calculation and control rules of each data and functionality. If the client has specialists in the functional field of the project at his disposal, it would be useful to validate that analysis.
5. Technical Analysis: MITCO produces a technical description to the least detail of the application to develop. This document does not need to be approved by the client. Its aim is to allow the development team to produce a solid and efficient application.
6. Development: Based on the detailed technical analysis, the technical production of the application can then be carried out. This includes:
   • The creation of the databases and/or data files.
   • The development of possible application servers.
   • The development of various procedures.
   • The development of the various users interfaces: applications, Internet/Intranet site, etc...
   • Etc...
   This stage depends directly on the type of application developed.
7. The testing: Each element of the solution delivered by MITCO is thoroughly tested. It is however recommended that the client also executes a series of tests in order to ensure that the solution provided meets his/her needs identified by the specifications and/or the functional analysis. MITCO carries out the necessary corrections which then lead to a new delivery and new tests.
8. The Final delivery: Once the solution delivered meets the specifications, a final and complete delivery is carried out. It includes the compilation of various elements being part of the solution, the delivery of all manuals and documentations and the install and setup of the solution on the client's IT infrastructure.
9. The production setting: If the client requires it, MITCO assists him/her for the production setting or the effective service setting of the solution delivered.

Those steps do not necessarily occur one after the other. An iterative development is preferable for big applications. In this case, intermediate deliveries including a subset of functionalities are proposed to the client. Each of these deliveries will lead to partial tests. Of course, complete tests will be carried out when the final application is delivered.

When the personalized solution development project starts up, the client decides whether he wants to own the solution after the final delivery or if he only wants a user license. This distinction is important.

• Ownership: If the client chooses to own the solution, he/she will receive all the documentation and source codes at the final delivery. In this case, the client is ensured to have a unique application which could in no case be proposed to another client. The ownership of the source codes will allow him/her to carry out the possible modifications of the application or to get them done by another company than MITCO.
• User license: If the client chooses the user license, he/she has the right to use the application with no time limit but does not however own the application and source codes. Therefore no modification of the application can be carried out without MITCO's agreement. Furthermore, the solution can be proposed to another MITCO client.

Maintenance

All solutions delivered by MITCO can come up with one or more maintenance services according to the client's wishes.

1. The guarantee: During the guarantee period, any functionality problems arising will be fixed by MITCO free of charge. The duration of the guarantee period is set jointly by MITCO and the client at the time of the writing of the specifications.
2. The maintenance: The client can also require MITCO to ensure the maintenance and good progress of the application. In this case, MITCO verifies periodically that the IT infrastructure that supports the application, databases, etc... is in good state. This service can also include the essential data backup copies.
3. New developments: As the client's activity can evolve, MITCO can also handle the adaptation of the solution and the addition of new functionalities according to the new functional purposes. In this case, a new project gets under way including the above-mentioned steps.

The technical fields that MITCO supports for the development of personalized applications are in general identical to those mentioned in the Consultancy chapter. MITCO will then select the technical choices best suited to the solution to be developed.
